Harrisburg Senators News Release

The Senators won their fourth straight game on their seven-game road trip Wednesday night with a 4-1 win over the Binghamton Mets. Erik Arnesen snapped a personal two-game losing streak with 5.1 innings of work to earn his seventh win on the season.

The Sens scored three times in the first inning to take a 3-0 lead. Joel Guzman doubled in Michael Daniel and Freddie Bynum, and then was driven in a base hit off the bat of Marvin Lowrance.

In the bottom of the first, the B-Mets loaded the bases with one-out but managed just a single run off Arnesen, their only run of the game. The B-Mets would go on and have just four more base runners in the game.

The Sens tacked on a run in the sixth when Francisco Plasencia singled in Guzman. Lowrance was the only Senator with two hits in the game.

Justin Jones pitched 2.2 scoreless innings while striking out four and Atahualpa Severino pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn his first save as a Senator.

The Sens have won four straight and are now 54-61 on the season. They look for a three-game sweep over the B-Mets and their fifth straight win on the road on Thursday night at 7:05pm with RH Jeff Mandel on the mound. The B-Mets will send RH Dylan Owen to the hill on Thursday.
