Argonauts releases slotback Mitchell

Toronto Argonauts News Release

Toronto â The Toronto Argonauts Football Club announced today that it has released slotback Derrell "Mookie" Mitchell.

A fan favourite, Mitchell was the Argonauts' Player of the Year in 2000 and was the CFL's Most Outstanding Rookie in 1997.

Adam Rita, Toronto Argonauts VP, Football Operations, commented, "We would like to thank Derrell for all of his great years as an Argonaut. We wish him all the best for the future."
