Anniversary Season Continues at Ripken Stadium

Aberdeen, MD- The Aberdeen IronBirds continue their 2012 theme nights with "Going Green Day" this Sunday, Aug. 12. In an effort to conserve energy, the game will be played at 2:35 p.m. with no field lighting. Fans can enjoy energy conservation tips from stadium staff members. Local green energy certified vendors will be on-hand to offer energy saving tips for home or business.

Monday, August 27, the IronBirds welcome local car enthusiasts and clubs to the ballpark for "Hot Rods and Home Runs." The evening begins with a pre-game car show in the parking lot at 4 p.m. Fans will have the opportunity to vote for the top car from three local car clubs. All years, makes and models are welcome to enter and entrants do not need to be affiliated with a car club. Show entry fee is eleven dollars and includes a ticket to that night's game against the Brooklyn Cyclones. Games and music will have an automotive theme throughout the night.
