SALT LAKE CITY (August 22, 2010) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has recalled right-handed pitcher Jordan Walden from Triple-A Salt Lake. He will be available in the Angels bullpen tonight as the Halos take on the Minnesota Twins.
Walden, 22, has appeared in six games of relief for the Bees in 2010, owning a 4.05 ERA in 6.2 innings pitched. In 38 games of relief for Double-A Arkansas this season, he owns a 1-1 record with a 3.35 ERA and eight saves. The Fort Worth, Texas native was originally selected by the Angels in the 12th round of the 2006 draft. His first appearance with the Angels will be his major league debut.
