RENO, Nev.- Zach Kroenke earned his fourth-straight win on Saturday night, allowing just one unearned run over six frames to help lift the Reno Aces to a 5-2 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers in front of a sellout crowd at Aces Ballpark.

Kroenke (5-3) continued his string of dominance in Reno's starting rotation, scattering just six hits and a walk. He struck out six in a 91-pitch outing, his longest of the season. Rafael Rodriguez tossed the seventh and eighth before handing the ball to Carlos Rosa, who kept the Rainiers off the board in the ninth to earn his ninth save of the season.

Reno jumped ahead early and never looked back, scoring three runs over the first two innings. After leading off the bottom of the first with a triple, Doug Deeds scored the first run of the game on an RBI-double off the bat of Tony Abreu. A two-run homer by Carlos Corporan gave the Aces all the offense they would need, as they treated the sellout crowd to a series-opening victory.

The loss fell to Tacoma starter Michael Pineda (3-3), who surrendered four runs on eight hits over 4.1 innings of work. Pineda walked two and struck out five.

Drew Macias reached base four times Saturday, scoring three runs and adding his fourth home run of the season. Tony Abreu added two base hits, while Corporan finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

The series will continue on Sunday night from Aces Ballpark. RHP Cesar Valdez (4-9, 6.13 ERA) toes the slab for Reno, while Tacoma will counter with LHP Ryan Feierabend (3-6, 5.59 ERA). First pitch is set for 5:05 p.m. PT.

Reno returns home Saturday, August 21, for a four-game series against Tacoma. Tickets for all Aces games start at just $7, and are available by calling the Reno Aces box office at (775) 334-7000 or by visiting RenoAces.com.
