Ivan DeJesus drilled three hits to lead the Albuquerque Isotopes to a 7-4 win over the New Orleans Zephyrs in front of 6,558 fans at Isotopes Park. The Z's scored first for the eighth consecutive game with a two run home run in the first inning for Mike Lamb. Scoring first has not been the answer lately for New Orleans as the Z's fell for sixth time in the 8 game stretch. The Isotopes scored a run in the first inning and added three in the second to take the lead. Russ Mitchell and JD Closser each had two RBI for the Topes in the win. Louisiana native Tim Corcoran pitched into the seventh inning and earned the win. Brian Lawrence pitched 5 innings and took the loss, his record fell to 10-8. The Z's catcher Chris Hatcher drilled a two run home run in the seventh inning. The loss drops the Z's to 7.5 games back of Oklahoma with just 15 games to go.

Game Notes: New Orleans has now lost 18 of the last 20 games in Albuquerque over the past three seasons. The Marlins are expected to promote Z's outfielder Cameron Maybin on Monday. The Z's are 46-25 when scoring first. The Z's fell to 0-2 on the season long 13 game road trip.

Coming up - The Zephyrs and Isotopes meet in the third game of the series on Monday night. New Orleans will start RH Tom Mastny (4-4, 4.41) against RH John Ely (4-3, 5.98) at 7:35. RADIO: 106.1 FM
