ROUND ROCK, Texas - Three Oklahoma City home runs propelled the RedHawks to a 4-2 victory over the Round Rock Express in Pacific Coast League action Sunday night at The Dell Diamond. The Express (54-75) have lost four straight home games for the first time this season. The RedHawks (68-59) have won each of the series first two games and lead the season series 12-2.

Chris Davis got the scoring started in the top of the first, following a Willie Taveras triple with his 13th homer of the season. Taveras pushed the RedHawks lead to 3-0 with a one-out solo homer in the third, his first with Oklahoma City.

Round Rock pulled to within a run with solo spots in the sixth and seventh innings. Drew Locke clubbed his team-leading 17th homer in the sixth, a one-out solo shot. In the seventh, Collin DeLome walked with one out, stole second and third, and scored on an errant throw by Oklahoma City catcher Matt Treanor.

That was as close as the Express would get, though, as James Tomlin's leadoff homer in the top of the eighth capped the scoring.

Oklahoma City starter Doug Mathis (9-5) picked up the win, holding the Express to one run on five hits and no walks with five strikeouts over 6.0 innings. Warner Madrigal earned his first save of the season, walking one and striking out one in 2.0 scoreless innings.

Express starter Josh Banks (9-9) was saddled with the loss; he allowed three runs on five hits and no walks with five strikeouts over 7.0 innings.

Locke finished 2-for-3 with a walk. Hernan Iribarren was 3-for-3 for the RedHawks, while Taveras was 2-for-4 with two runs scored.

Round Rock and Oklahoma City continue their four-game series Monday with a 7:05 p.m. CDT first pitch at The Dell Diamond. Right-hander Yorman Bazardo (4-4, 3.72 ERA) is scheduled to start for the Express, while southpaw Derek Holland (6-2, 1.91 ERA) will get the nod for the RedHawks.

The Round Rock Express, owned and operated by Ryan Sanders Baseball, LP, is the Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros and a member of the Pacific Coast League.
