Beloit Sky Carp News Release

During the Snappers' last road trip reliever Chris Anderson had to have an emergency appendectomy on Friday night. The procedure, that removed the left-hander's appendix, will sideline him for the remainder of the season.

So far this season, Chris is 2-0 with a 6.84 ERA in 25 innings pitched. Used exclusively as a reliever, Anderson struck out 17 while walking just nine. Chris was also called upon to save two games for the Snappers.

Anderson was signed by the Twins as a non-drafted free agent on August 8th, 2007. A 2004 graduate of Portsmouth High School in New Hampshire, Chris was originally drafted by the Twins in the 18th round of the 2006 draft. However, he was not signed at the time due to an elbow injury.

The move leaves the Beloit active roster at 23, two below the MWL maximum.
