Anaheim Recalls Left Wing Matt Beleskey

Syracuse, NY (March 25, 2011) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have recalled left wing Matt Beleskey.

Beleskey, 22, has appeared in 27 games for the Crunch this season, collecting 24 points (11g, 13a) and 39 penalty minutes. He has recorded multiple points on seven different occasions, with the Crunch going 5-1-0-1 during those contests. In addition, Beleskey ranks fourth on the team in power play scoring with 10 points (6g, 4a). He has also skated in 27 games with Anaheim this season, tallying 10 points (3g, 7a) and 32 penalty minutes.

A native of Windsor, Ontario, Beleskey appeared in 257 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) contests with Belleville from 2004-08 prior to turning pro, accumulating 221 points (98g, 123a) and 467 penalty minutes. He was selected by Anaheim in the fourth round, 112th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

The Crunch return home to face Albany on Friday, March 25 at 7:30 p.m. at The Oncenter War Memorial Arena.
