Norfolk Admirals News Release

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks have reassigned defenseman Shea Theodore from the Western Hockey League's (WHL) Seattle Thunderbirds to American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals.

Theodore, 19, posted three goals and six assists in six WHL playoff games for the Thunderbirds after finishing third on the team in scoring with 13 goals and 48 points in 43 regular season games. The Aldergrove, British Columbia native led Seattle in plus/minus at plus-17 in 2014-15.

Theodore concludes a decorated junior career with the Thunderbirds where he earned First All-Star Team honors in the league's Western Conference after ending 2013-14 with the most assists (57) and points (79) by any WHL defenseman. He is Seattle's all-time leader in goals (58) and points (212) by a defenseman over 257 career games. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound blueliner is second in franchise history in career assists (154) and is the Western Conference's selection for the 2014-15 WHL Defenseman of the Year Award. He also makes his second-straight appearance on the conference's First All-Star Team.

Anaheim's 26th overall draft choice in 2013 went scoreless in four games with Norfolk in the 2013-14 regular season before contributing a goal and two assists in four playoff games. Earlier this season, the 19-year-old rehabbed an injury in Norfolk where he scored three times and helped on two more for five points in five games.

The Admirals take on Lehigh Valley in Allentown, Pennsylvania tonight at 7:05 p.m. on 1650 AM WHKT and AHLLive.com.
