Amerks to make holiday appearances

(Rochester, NY)... Members of the Rochester Americans hockey team will make two holiday appearances next week. The players and their mascot, The Moose, will ring bells to raise money for the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign on Tuesday, December 19th. Two days later, players will attend the Rochester General Hospital's Pediatrics Party.

On Tuesday, Amerks Dylan Hunter and Michael Ryan will ring bells from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the four corners in downtown Rochester. Greg Jacina and Patrick Kaleta will work the second shift from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Joining the Amerks will be The Moose, Rex the Rhino and Pat Dutton of the Rochester Knighthawks and Rattlers. The appearance marks the seventh time in eight years that the Rochester Sports Group has participated in the Red Kettle Campaign.

On Thursday, December 21st, Brandon Smith and Kaleta will sign autographs and meet with kids and their families at the Rochester General Pediatrics Party from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The players will be joined by Rochester Knighthawks Pat Cougevan, and mascots Rex the Rhino and The Moose.
