Kennewick, WA- The Tri-City Americans (9-13-1-0, 19 pts) and Victoria Royals (16-7-1-1, 34 pts) scored eight goals in the first 15 minutes of the game for a 5-3 Victoria lead. But the Americans scored goals in the second, third and overtime to earn a 6-5 win in front of 4,235 fans at the Toyota Center on Saturday Night.

It only took 40 seconds for the first goal to be scored, as Brandon Carlo put the Americans ahead 1-0. A minute later, Victoria tied the game, as Chaz Reddekopp scored shorthanded. Less than 40 seconds later, Tri-City regained the lead on the power play, as Vladislav Lukin fired a laser from the left faceoff circle into the top left corner for a 2-1 advantage. Victoria answered once again, as Dante Hannoun was able to score to tie the game. The Royals took the lead on the power play 8:17 into the first, with Tyler Soy notching a goal. The Americans responded with a goal, as Parker Bowles found twine to even the score at three less than nine minutes into the game.

Soy scored his second of the game 10:12 into the first, followed by a goal from Logan Fisher five minutes later to put the Royals up 5-3 after the first period.

Late in the second period, Tri-City cut the lead to 5-4. Brian Williams slapped home a power play goal to bring the Americans within a goal going into the third period.

In the third, the Americans tied the game midway through the period. Juuso Välimäki fired a shot from the slot into twine to even the score and send the game to overtime.

The Americans got the winner in the overtime frame. Brandon Carlo passed the puck to a trailing Vladislav Lukin, firing a shot stick side to beat Griffen Outhouse and earn the big win.

Tri-City earned its first win of the season when trailing entering the third period. The Americans have won two straight at home.

Victoria was 1-of-4 on the power play and recorded 10 penalty minutes. Tri-City converted 50 percent of its four power play chances and spent eight minutes in the penalty box.

Nicholas Sanders started the game and made three saves. Evan Sarthou came in and made 18 saves in the win. Coleman Vollrath started for Victoria and stopped one shot, with Griffen Outhouse coming in after and stopping 14 shots in the loss.

Tri-City has some time to rest before playing four games in five days, starting with the Moose Jaw Warriors (11-8-3-1, 26 pts) this Tuesday, Nov. 24. Game time is at 7:05 p.m. at the Toyota Center. The Americans lost the meeting last season, 5-0, in Moose Jaw.
