
Americans Stunned by Silvertips in Shutout Loss

Kennewick, WA - The Americans matched up against the Everett Silvertips today at the Toyota Center. Calgary Flames prospect Dustin Wolf shined for the Silvertips, earning his second shutout in as many nights.
Tri-City's struggle began early as Everett's Owen Zellweger scored just 43 seconds into the game. Hunter Campbell and Ethan Regnier added goals to put Everett up by 3-0 at the end of the first period.
Goaltender Talyn Boyko started in net tonight for the Americans. He stopped 7 of 10 shots faced through the first 20 minutes before being relieved by Mason Dunsford for the remainder of the game.
The Silvertips doubled their lead to six through the second period with goals from Gage Goncalves, Ryan Hofer, and Ethan Regnier (his second of the night). Ronan Seeley added Everett's final goal of the night at 14:12 third period for a final score of 7-0.
Seventeen-year-old Dunsford finished the night with 20 saves on 24 shots.
Tri-City will get a rematch against the Silvertips on Wednesday in Everett.
