The Americans and Silvertips will face each other in back-to-back games this weekend at the Toyota Center.

Tonight will be the fourth meeting of a 12 game season series between the two teams. The three previous meetings have all been in Everett with the Silvertips taking victory each time.

Tri-City most recently played last Saturday when they took a 4-1 victory at home over the Prince George Cougars in the annual Fred Meyer Teddy Bear Toss game.

The Cougars got on the board first 14:03 into the game with a goal from Ryker Singer off an odd-man rush. Prince George held on to their 1-0 lead into the first intermission.

Alex Serraglio brought the bears early second period with shot from the blue line, assisted by Lukas Dragicevic and Tyson Greenway. It was the 18-year-old defenseman's first ever WHL goal. Serraglio is just the fourth defenseman to score the teddy bear goal for the Americans.

After the bears came a flurry of goals from the Americans.

Jake Sloan swept in a shot from Sasha Mutala on the power play to take the lead 12:13 into the second period. Connor Bouchard also received an assist on the goal.

Less than two minutes later, the Americans extended their lead to 3-1 with a goal from Sasha Mutala. Connor Bouchard set up the goal as they entered the offensive zone and Mutala scored with a wrist shot from the high slot.

Bouchard's assist gives him 15 total points this season, tying Parker Bell for the team's points leader.

With 3:39 remaining in the second period, Parker Bell sent a pass across the slot to Ethan Ernst who took a shot from the low right circle that was deflected by Sam Huo into the net.

Scoring ceased after the second period and the Americans held on to earn the 4-1 victory.

Tomas Suchanek earned his second win of the season, stopping 38 of 39 shots faced.
