Allen Americans News Release
Allen, Texas - The Central Hockey League announced today that Americans defenseman Scott Langdon, will replace Americans defenseman Dylan King on the 2011-2012 CHL All Star roster.
Langdon, a native of Ancaster, Ontario, will replace Dylan King, who is currently on American Hockey League call-up with the Lake Erie Monsters, the Americans primary AHL affiliate. Langdon joined the Allen Americans roster in 2010, and was a big part of the Americans' success in the 2010-2011 season. He played in one AHL game in 2010, for Lake Erie.
"It's a great honor to be selected," said Langdon, when hearing the news this morning after the Americans game day skate. "This will be my first professional All Star Game. I was involved in one back in juniors, but that was several years ago. I'm really excited to be a part of it."
Langdon has five points so far this season for Allen, and will join Bruce Graham, Marco Cousineau, Head Coach Dwight Mullins, Trainer Jason Wallace, and Americans broadcaster Tommy Daniels at the CHL All Star Game next week in Arizona.
The 2012 CHL All-Star Game will be available live on CHL-TV on Wednesday night for the standard individual game rate of $7.00. Visit http://chltv.neulion.com/chltv/ for ordering information.
