
Bucks Win Big on the Road

LAREDO, TX: The Laredo Bucks, of the Central Hockey League, defeated the Allen Americans 3-2 in overtime.
The Laredo Bucks faced the Allen Americans for the third straight game on Friday night. The Bucks travelled to the Allen Event Center for the game.
The first period was a physical one for both teams. The Americans scored first when Colton Yellow Horn put a backhand past Torrie Jung at 3:11. The Bucks would have two powerplay opportunities, but were unable to take advantage of them The Americans would get on the board again late in the period, when Jarret Lukin scored a powerplay goal at 19:42. The period came to a close with the Bucks trailing 2-0.
The Bucks lit the lamp at 7:05 in the second period, as David Inman scored a powerplay goal with a quick wrister. Inman was assisted by Adam Rivet and Matt Pierce. The Bucks battled back outshooting the Americans in the second 16-11.
Both teams played a tight third period. Mark Nebus scored the tying goal at 6:34, sneaking the puck by the Allen goalie. Rusty Masters assisted on the Nebus goal. Laredo once again outshot the Americans 10-6 in the frame.
It would take an extra frame for the game to be decided. Rusty Masters scored the game winning goal only 1:12 seconds into overtime. Neil Trimm and Matt Hanson assisted on the game winner that stunned the Americans.
