
Americans Defeated 4-3 in Overtime by Silvertips

In a back-and-forth game at Angel of the Winds Arena, the Americans were ultimately defeated by the Silvertips 4-3 tonight in overtime.
Edge Lambert opened scoring with a power play goal putting the Americans ahead early in the first period. Lambert leads all Americans rookies in scoring with five goals and five assists.
Second year netminder Talyn Boyko played the full game in net for Tri-City and stopped 48 of 52 shots faced .
Bryce Kindopp responded for the Silvertips four minutes later. The game held tied at one until late in the first period when Sam Huo scored Tri-City's only even strength goal of the night.
The Americans took a 2-1 lead into the first intermission, but Everett tied the game quickly in the second period with a goal from Wyatt Wylie. He added another for the Silvertips six minutes later, on the power play, taking a 3-2 lead over the Americans.
Krystof Hrabik scored for the Americans to tie the game again with 2:17 remaining in the second frame. The goal came after a scramble in front of the net on the power play. The score held tied at three through the remainder of regulation.
The game ended 2:52 into overtime when Kindopp scored his second of the night for Everett on an odd man rush.
The Americans were out shot 52-22 by Everett.

This upcoming Thanksgiving week is full of hockey at the Toyota Center. The Saskatoon Blades will make their biennial visit to Kennewick on Wednesday. The Ams will then take on the Victoria Royals on Friday and the Vancouver Giants on Saturday.
