Fort Worth 20, El Paso 5

Left fielder John Allen hit two home runs, and led Fort Worth with three hits, three runs and seven RBI as the Cats topped El Paso 20-5 at Cohen Stadium. After the first three innings, Fort Worth took a 12-1 lead, but the Diablos scored the next four runs during the fourth and sixth innings. In the top of the ninth, Fort Worth had four hits and eight runs, and Allen recorded his second homer of the night. The Cats registered 19 total hits, while El Paso had just six. The Diablos committed three errors during the game, and no player recorded more than one hit. El Paso first baseman Javier Brito and third baseman Johan Garcia each scored two of El Paso's runs. Catcher Kelley Gulledge chipped in four hits, four runs and three RBI for Fort Worth, and six different Cats registered multiple hits in the game. Phillip Bartleski, now 2-0 on the season, earned the win by allowing four hits, five runs and striking out one in seven innings pitched.
