Montreal, Apr. 12, 2006 - The Alouettes added depth to their defence as Vice President and General Manager Jim Popp selected linebacker Kai Ellis in the first round of the Ottawa Renegades dispersal draft this afternoon.
Kai Ellis (LB, 6'4'', 250 lbs) finished third on the Renegades last season with 56 tackles. He has 96 career tackles and seven quarterback sacks. He started 15 games with Ottawa in 2005.
