Allan McPherson Heads to Rochester

ESTERO, FL - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, announced today that forward Allan McPherson has been recalled by the Rochester Americans.

McPherson, 24, heads to Rochester for the third time this season after scoring in four consecutive games with Elmira and logging 10 points (six goals, four assists) in four games this month. The 5-foot-10 180-pound forward is tied for first on the Jackals with 16 goals and ranks second with 32 points. McPherson's point total has come in just 25 games with Elmira which has produced a 1.28 points-per-game average that tops the team. He also leads all Jackals skaters with a +18 rating. The Kinburn, Ontario native has also notched one goal in 15 games with the Rochester Americans.

McPherson split his rookie campaign between Elmira and Rochester earning 23 points (eight goals, 15 assists) in 24 games with the Jackals while adding eight points (three goals, five assists) in 44 games with the Americans.

Prior to turning pro, McPherson reached the 100-point club at Clarkson University, amassing 103 points (41 goals, 62 assists) in 150 games. He earned Clarkson's Bill Harrison Most Valuable Player honor as a junior and a senior.
