Quad Cities River Bandits News Release
More than 80 percent of the box seat tickets available for the Midwest League All-Star Game have been sold, the Swing of the Quad Cities announced Friday.
The All-Star Game is scheduled to be played at John O'Donnell Stadium on Tuesday, June 20, with first pitch to be delivered at 7:00 p.m. While the game has not been played in the Quad Cities since 1990, Davenport will host the league's midsummer classic for the seventh time, the most of any city.
"Ticket sales are going well and we're happy with the expected turnout," Swing President and General Manager Kevin Krause said. "But tickets certainly are going fast, so we want to make sure fans are aware that they may need to act fast to reserve their seats."
The All-Star festivities will get started at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 19, with an All-Star Luncheon sponsored by Alcoa. The events on Tuesday begin with the free Principal Financial Family Fun Fest outside the stadium at 4:00 p.m. Inside the ballpark players will be signing autographs beginning at 4:30 p.m. and the Home Run Derby will get underway at 5:30 p.m. before the game itself kicks off at 7:00 p.m.
UP NEXT: The Swing of the Quad Cities will finish out their series with the Cedar Rapids Kernels Friday, as LHP Adam Daniels (2-4, 4.03) is slated to take the mound against RHP Nick Adenhart (7-2, 2.17). First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., with coverage on Progressive Talk AM-1270 beginning at 6:45 p.m.
UPCOMING PROMOTIONS: Stick around after the game on Boy Scout Night, Friday, June 9, and enjoy KWQC/Q106.5/Boy Scouts fireworks.
