Alaska's Fitzgerald Suspended 10 Games, Fined

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Tuesday that it has suspended Alaska defenseman Zack Fitzgerald 10 games and fined him an undisclosed amount as result of his actions in ECHL Game #41 vs. Bakersfield on October 29 and ECHL Game #52 vs. Bakersfield on October 30.

At 2:38 of the third period in Game #41, Fitzgerald was assessed a major penalty and a Game Misconduct under Rule 44(b) - Boarding. At 11:39 of the third period in Game #52, Fitzgerald was assessed a Game Misconduct under Rule 72(b) - Leaving Players or Penalty Bench and a Match Penalty under Rule 43(a) - Attempt to or Deliberate Injury of Opponent.

Fitzgerald is suspended 10 games under Rule 33A Supplemental Discipline.

Fitzgerald will miss Alaska's games at Utah (Nov. 4), at Utah (Nov. 5), at Idaho (Nov. 9), at Idaho (Nov. 11), vs. Idaho (Nov. 12), vs. Las Vegas (Nov. 16), vs. Las Vegas (Nov. 17), vs. Las Vegas (Nov. 19), vs. Utah (Nov. 29) and vs. Utah (Nov. 30).
