Akron Aeros Upcoming Eight Game Homestand - May 23-30th - Full of Fun

AKRON, OH - The Akron Aeros return to Canal Park on Monday, May 23 for an eight-game homestand against the Harrisburg Senators and the Richmond Flying Squirrels. This homestand includes games spanning the Memorial Day Weekend holiday.

Monday, May 23 - 7:05pm Charity Begins at Home

Every Monday home game, the Aeros raise funds and awareness for local charities. This Monday's game, the Aeros partner with the S.U.P.E.R. Learning Center, an organization dedicated to increasing autism awareness and involvement.

Tuesday, May 24 - 7:05pm Whatever Happened to Jarts' Night

Celebrate America's favorite backyard games! Various fan activities will test skills in contests centered around cherished nostalgic neighborhood games.

Wednesday, May 25 - 7:05pm Crock Pot Junkie Kickoff Night

Fans are encouraged to bring in your favorite recipe in a crock pot, plug in, and let fellow fans feast upon your delicious food. Prizes for fan favorites will be awarded!

*** College Fair Night (Wed. May 25th - 5pm) - Show your High School ID and receive a free ticket to Wednesday's game. High School students will have the opportunity to meet with several local colleges in this pre-game college fair. A pair of $1,000 scholarships will also be awarded during the game.

Thursday, May 26 - 10:35am Education Day, presented by Applebee's

Exchange your pencils, books and dirty looks for foam fingers and cracker jacks. Plus, you don't have to be in school or part of the more than 75 groups of school-aged kids visiting Canal park for morning baseball. Take a break from your workday or your busy Thursday schedule and enjoy an Aeros game!

Friday, May 27 - 7:05pm Memorial Day Fireworks Spectacular, presented by K12

Start off the holiday weekend with a bang! A fantastic fireworks show to celebrate Memorial Day follows this Friday night game.

Saturday, May 28 - 7:05pm Northeast Ohio Mazda Dealers Celebrity Saturday

. Military Appreciation Night - All active and retired members of the military and their families will receive discounted tickets ($6) when they present their Military ID at the Canal Park Box Office. Military members also will receive a 10% discount at Infield Outfitters, the Aeros Team Shop, on Saturday.

. Appearance by Wrestling Legend Sgt. Slaughter - A special VIP Meet & Greet is available to fans for $30. The VIP package includes:

o The ONLY GUARANTEED way to meet "The Sarge" and receive an autograph and photograph with the wrestling hall-of-famer.

o All-You-Can-Eat Pre-Game Picnic

o Reserved Seat Ticket to the Game

. Aeros Camouflage Cap Giveaway (1st 1,000 fans)

. Aeros Camouflage Jersey Auction - Fans will have the opportunity to bid on special game-worn camouflage jerseys the Aeros will be wearing on Saturday. Jerseys will be autographed and presented to top bidders immediately following the game.

Sunday, May 29 - 1:05pm Sunday Family FUNday & Curve Ball Giveaway

The first 2,000 youngsters ages 12 & under through the turnstiles on Sunday receive a special curve ball, courtesy of BPI Information Systems. Great activities for the entire family throughout the game, including:

* Summit Metroparks Pre-Game Autograph Session

* Pre-game on field "Play Catch"

* K12 Kids Stampede

* Jr. PA Announcer

* Other concourse games and activities
