Norfolk Admirals News Release
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The American Hockey League published the regular season schedule for the upcoming 2014-15 season today. The Admirals' season is set to begin on October 11 versus Hershey and will officially end on April 18 versus Wilkes-Barre/Scranton before the start of the 2015 Calder Cup Playoffs.
Norfolk embarks on their season Saturday, October 11 at home versus divisional foe Hershey. The Admirals and Bears are booked for a two-game set opening weekend, but will conclude the series at 6:05 p.m. on Monday, October 13. Norfolk and Hershey squared off for two games in the final week of the season last year with one Eastern Conference playoff spot on the line. The Admirals won both to eliminate the Bears from playoff contention and clinch the eighth seed.
The Admirals drop the puck on 2014-15 with a four-game opening homestand versus Hershey and Manchester. They end the regular schedule similarly to last year with four of their last five on the road. Norfolk plays 15 mid-week games with seven at Scope, and will endure six sets of three games in three days.
