LOOKING AHEAD:

Fortunes have turned in Connecticut, where Bridgeport has won six in a row and Hartford has dropped four straight... The rivals clash Friday (7:00 ET) for the second of 10 meetings this season... The Sound Tigers have allowed just seven goals during their six-game run... Connecticut native Kevin Colley, who made his NHL debut with the Islanders against the Rangers last month, scored the only goal in Bridgeport's 1-0 win over Philadelphia on Wednesday... Chris Madden made 29 saves to improve to 6-1-0 on the season... The Wolf Pack, who won a league-best 30 home games last season, are 3-4-0-0 at the Civic Center in 2005-06... Leading scorer Jarkko Immonen has a point in four straight games for Hartford (3g, 3a).

Chicago makes its first visit to Peoria since Feb. 23, 1996, as the in-state foes meet on Friday (7:30 CT) for the first time as AHL adversaries... For the Wolves, winless in their last five contests (0-3-0-2), it's their 10th road game out of 13 to start the season... Scott Barney has scored a goal in five of his last six AHL games for Chicago... The Wolves will use their fifth different starting goaltender of the year after Michael Garnett and Adam Berkhoel were re-summoned to Atlanta... The rested Rivermen have played just five periods in the last 12 days, including their game in Iowa on Sunday which was suspended after 40 minutes due to unsafe ice at Wells Fargo Arena... Peoria's Colin Hemingway recorded an assist on Sunday to run his scoring streak to nine games (6g, 5a).

Rochester and Syracuse meet in a weekend home-and-home series, beginning Friday at the Blue Cross Arena (7:35 ET)... These rivals have met 125 times previously in the regular season, most recently a 6-3 Crunch win on Oct. 22 in which rookie Geoff Platt scored three times... Platt has 12 goals on the season; no one else on the Syracuse roster has more than four... The Crunch have won three straight after Thursday's overtime win in Cleveland... Rochester is still tops in the AHL in power-play efficiency at 30.6 percent, scoring 30 times in 98 chances over 14 games... Jason Pominville continues to lead the league with 15 goals.
