Adrien Earns Co-Performer of the Week Honors

MCALLEN, TEXAS - The defending NBA Development League champion Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced Monday that Jeff Adrien (6-7, 245, UConn) has been named NBA Development League Co-Performer of the Week.

Adrien helped the Vipers to earn a 2-0 record, averaging 22.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 blocks per game. Adrien recorded his sixth double-double in nine games on Saturday, scoring a career-high and game-high 31 points on 12-of-14 shooting to go with a career-high 14 rebounds in a career-high 41 minutes of action.

"He's made a big difference. He's the exact piece that we needed. It's not just hit on-court performance, but his overall professionalism. He's a high-level player and a quality individual. We're happy to be able to provide him the opportunity to do what he does best," Vipers head coach Chris Finch said.

Adrien is averaging 14.0 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.7 blocks in nine games (three starts). Since joining the Vipers, Adrien is averaging 17.5 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.5 blocks in four games (two starts). The Vipers are 4-0 since Adrien arrived and Adrien's teams have won seven-straight games.
