
Admirals Acquire Czarnik, Windle from Reading for Michael Pelech

Norfolk, Va*. - The Norfolk Admirals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, announce today that the team has acquired forward Robbie Czarnik and defenseman Same Windle in return for forward Michael Pelech.
*Czarnik*, 26, led the Royals in scoring prior to today's trade, registering 46 points (23-23-46). The 6-foot, 190-pound forward returns to Norfolk after playing 10 games in an AHL Admirals uniform during the 2014-15 season, registering four points (1-3=4). The Detroit, Michigan native has played in 150 American Hockey League (AHL) games, mostly with the Manchester Monarchs, earning 38 points (14-248) and 103 ECHL games, registering 86 points (46-40-86) for a total of 124 points (60-644) through five pro seasons. Czarnik won the Bronze medal in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2008 and was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the third round (#63 overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
*Windle*, 23, is a first-year pro appearing in 28 regular season games for the Reading Royals this season. The 6-foot-4, 233-pound defenseman accrued three assists, 14 penalty minutes, and a minus-8 rating in that span. The Maple Grove, Minnesota native concluded a 4-year, 135-game NCAA career at Bemidji State University in 2014-2015, registering 14 points (3-11), 56 penalty minutes, and a minus-41 rating.
*Pelech*, 26, appeared in 57 games this season for the Norfolk Admirals, earning 38 points (9-298) and 77 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound centerman is a veteran of the ECHL with 431 total games, 315 points (95-22015), and 726 penalty minutes. The former Los Angeles Kings draft pick (2009, Rd. 6, #156) has also appeared in 35 American Hockey League games earning 6 points (2-4=6) and 41 penalty minutes.
