ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Wednesday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Adirondack's Lomberg fined, suspended

Adirondack's Ryan Lomberg has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #808, Adirondack at Manchester, on March 8.

Lomberg is suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as the result of an elbowing infraction at 0:23 of the third period.

Lomberg will miss Adirondack's game against Elmira on March 10.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Wheeling's McCarron fined, suspended

Wheeling's John McCarron has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #560, Brampton at Wheeling, on March 8.

McCarron was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for kneeing under Rule #50.5 at 3:48 of the first period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

McCarron will miss Wheeling's game against Toledo on March 11.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
