Lessard to Rapid City for Gauthier

Norfolk, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals announce today that forward Jonathan Lessard has been traded to the Rapid City Rush in return for forward Danick Gauthier and future considerations.

Gauthier, 24, is a fourth-year pro with 223 professional games between the American Hockey League (AHL) and ECHL. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound left-winger has split the season between the Wichita Thunder and Rapid City Rush. In 59 ECHL games this season, the Waterloo, QC native has tallied 26 points (10-16&), a minus-24 rating, and 29 penalty minutes. The former Memorial Cup Champion (QMJHL) has 119 points (48-719) in 163 ECHL contests and 17 points (8-9) in 60 AHL games.

Lessard, 25, has appeared in 51 games for the Admirals this season, tallying 25 points (14-11%) with 75 penalty minutes and a minus-12 rating. The third-year pro has played 142 ECHL games, earning 73 points (34-39s), 181 penalty minutes, and a minus-44 rating.
