
Adams, Lascek, Spina recalled to Phantoms

Johnstown, PA (November 14, 2006) - The Johnstown Chiefs today announced that defenseman John Adams and forwards David Spina and Stanislav Lascek have been recalled by the team's American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Falcons. Springfield has also assigned forwards Brady Greco and Andre Deveaux to Johnstown.
In 12 games with Johnstown this season, Adams has scored one goal and three assists and earned an even plus/minus rating. Selected in the third round (82nd overall) by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the Wayzata, Minn.-native appeared in 42 regular season games and two Kelly Cup Playoff games with Florida in 2005-06, scoring 15 points (1g, 14a). In five games with Springfield last season, Adams recorded six penalty minutes. The 6-2, 193-pound Adams also appeared in five games with the Grand Rapids Griffins and three games with the Cleveland Barons.
Lascek leads ECHL rookies in scoring with 15 points (5g, 10a) in 10 games this season. Selected in the 5th round (133rd overall) by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Lascek led Chicoutimi of the QMJHL in scoring, posting 135 points (47g, 88a) in 64 games. In 176 regular season games with the Sagueneens, Lascek, a native of Martin, Slovakia, scored 82 goals and 200 assists and ranked third on the team in scoring in both the 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons.
Spina has scored four goals, including the game-winner at Reading on November 12, and one assist in six games since being assigned to Johnstown. Spina joined the Chiefs after appearing in seven games with the Springfield Falcons this season. The Boston College alumnus split the 2005-06 season between the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays, where he scored seven goals in 11 games, and Springfield, where the 5-10, 185-pound forward scored 24 points (11g, 13a) in 54 games.
An eighth-round selection (256th overall) of the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Greco scored 10 points (5g, 5a) in 29 games with Johnstown last season, and also appeared in two games with Springfield.
Andre Deveaux scored one goal in one game for Johnstown this season, and in six games with Springfield, the Welland, Ont.-native has recorded two assists. Selected in the 6th round (182nd overall) by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Deveaux scored six goals and five assists in 59 games with Springfield last season, and in 11 games with the Johnstown Chiefs, he scored four goals and seven assists.
