
McElroy Activated; Reid Placed on seven-day IR

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays and head coach Jason Fitzsimmons announced today that T.J. McElroy has been activated and Matt Reid has been placed on the 7-day injured reserve list.
McElroy, the 6', 210-pound defenseman has been on the IR since late October after suffering an ankle injury against the Gwinnett Gladiators. The Golden Valley, MN native has played four games with the team and is still searching for his first point.
Reid, 28, has been off to a great start this season. The seven-year pro heads to the IR leading the team in points (14), goals (7), and shots (45). On the season, Reid's seven goals include three power play goals and two shorthanded goals.
The Stingrays return to action tonight against the Augusta Lynx.
