
Aces win over New Haven

The Aces were able to hold off New Haven in the late innings to take an 8-6 victory. Aces' starter, Mario Gonzal went five innings allowing three earned runs.
Gonzal's cause was aided by three Aces' homeruns and offensive performances from Chad Gambill and JP Schmidt, who each went 2-for-4 and Greg Schmidt, who went 2-for-5 with three RBIs. The Aces held a 7-3 lead going into the bottom of the seventh inning, but the Cutters struck for three runs.
Cutter DH, Jimmy Hurst went 2-for-3, while leftfielder, Aaron Fera went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Hew Haven starter, Ryan Bonesio, took the loss, allowing seven runs in two and two-thirds innings.
