Aces almost get comeback win
August 10, 2004 - Canadian American League (Can-Am)
Aces News Release
Quebec shot out to a big lead tonight, but couldn't shake the Aces. Les Capitales took a 5-0 lead in the first inning behind a three-run homerun from Shane Hopper and solo homeruns from Eddie Lantigua and Buck McNabb. They would be up as much as 9-2, but the Aces refused to quit, responding with their own five-run inning in the sixth to pull the score to 9-7. Unfortunately for the Aces, time simply ran out in the first game of the doubleheader as they fell to Quebec 9-7. Lantigua and Hopper both finished the game with three RBI to lead all batters.
