COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-Jeff Bailey went 3-for-6 with four RBIs on the day, but the Aces dropped both ends of a doubleheader Saturday, losing 7-6 and 12-7 at Security Service Field.

Bailey put the Aces ahead with a three-run blast in the top of the first of Game 1, but Reno faltered after that. The Sky Sox answered with three runs in the bottom half of the first, and took a 7-4 lead into the sixth inning of the seven-inning contest. Reno rallied for two runs in the sixth to cut the lead to one, but ultimately left the potential tying run at second base in the frame before being retired in order in the seventh.

In Game 2, the Sky Sox put up six runs before Aces starter Cesar Valdez recorded an out, and coasted to their third-straight victory over Reno. The Aces would fight back, but the Sky Sox' seven-run first inning was too much for Reno to overcome in the nightcap.

Kevin Mulvey (3-6) took the loss in Game 1, while Valdez (2-5) was tagged with the defeat in Game 2. Both starters allowed seven runs in their respective starts.

Sky Sox starter Chaz Roe (6-9) earned his sixth victory of the season in Game 1, despite allowing six earned runs in 5.1 innings pitched. Scott Rice earned his first save of the season in Game 1, before Alan Johnson (8-4) earned the victory in the nightcap.

Bailey paced the Aces attack with three hits and four RBIs, while Ryan Roberts completed a perfect evening with his eighth home run of the season in Game 2, finishing 3-for-3 with a walk and three RBIs in the twinbill. Yunesky Sanchez recorded a hit in each game, extending his hitting streak to 16 games and breaking the Aces franchise record of 15 set by Brandon Allen in 2009.

The Aces and Sky Sox complete their season series Sunday afternoon, with Reno sending RHP Matt Torra (5-5, 4.11 ERA) to the hill against Sky Sox RHP Esmil Rogers (1-3, 7.41 ERA). First pitch is set for 12:05 p.m. PT from Security Service Field, and all the action can be heard live in Reno on Fox Sports Radio 1450 AM.

Reno returns home Thursday, June 15, for a four-game series against the Tacoma Rainiers. Tickets for all Aces games start at just $7, and are available by calling the Reno Aces box office at (775) 334-7000 or by visiting RenoAces.com. The brand-new Freight House District, located just outside Aces Ballpark, is open seven days a week, on both game days and non-game days.
