ROUND ROCK, Texas - Andy Van Hekken allowed one run over 8.0 innings, and Gary Majewski rebounded from a leadoff Mitch Moreland homer in the ninth as the Round Rock Express edged the Oklahoma City RedHawks 3-2 in Pacific Coast League action Saturday night at The Dell Diamond. The Express (38-52) snapped a five-game skid against Oklahoma City. The RedHawks (48-39) hold a two-games-to-one lead in the series and lead the season series 5-2.

Van Hekken (6-5) scattered six hits and a walk with three strikeouts for his second victory in as many starts. The lone run he allowed was a Matt Brown leadoff homer in the second. He faced no more than four batters in any inning and used 98 pitches over eight frames. Max Ramirez doubled to open the fifth, but Van Hekken stranded him at third with a foul out and two groundouts.

After Moreland's home run, Majewski retired the next three batters to close the game and earn his second save of the season. He retired Ramirez on three consecutive called strikes for the final out.

Oklahoma City starter Omar Beltre (0-6) took the loss; he allowed two runs, one earned, on three hits and two walks with four strikeouts over 5.0 innings. Geoff Geary surrendered an unearned run on two hits and no walks with one strikeout in 3.0 innings of relief.

Wladimir Sutil reached on an error to open the bottom of the first and later scored on Brian Bogusevic's sacrifice fly. Ramirez tied the game with his leadoff homer in the second. The Express took the lead for good in the fifth. Drew Locke doubled with one out and scored on a Yordany Ramirez single. Tommy Everidge gave the Express what proved to be a pivotal insurance run in the sixth, plating Sutil with a one-out single.

Five different Round Rock players each had one hit: Sutil, Everidge, Locke, Ramirez and Brian Esposito. Sutil scored two runs for the second consecutive game. Moreland and Craig Gentry each had two hits for the RedHawks, who out-hit the Express 7-5 but were 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position.

Round Rock and Oklahoma City conclude the four-game series Sunday with a 7:05 p.m. CDT first pitch at The Dell Diamond. It will be the final game for both teams before next week's Triple-A All-Star Game break. Right-hander Shane Loux (2-6, 6.36 ERA) takes the mound for the Express. The RedHawks have not yet named a starter.
