Geneva, IL â The Kane County Cougars close out the first half of the season with an action-packed four-game stint against the Burlington Bees, the class A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals beginning this Thursday, June 16 and extending through Father's Day.

The Burlington Bees buzz into Geneva on June 16, setting off Father's day weekend. Nicor is making sure that fans are prepared for fun in the sun this Summer, as Cougars ushers will greet the first 2,000 guests through the gates with BEACH TOWELS, courtesy of the natural gas provider. It's YOUTH BASEBALL NIGHT at the ballpark on Thursday evening; participating groups will be welcomed in a pre-game parade and join the teams on the field level during the National Anthem. A rockin' fireworks show will explode over Elfstrom Stadium before fans are invited on to the field to RUN THE BASES.

Friday night begins with Cougars ushers distributing OLD SECOND BANK CHECKBOOK COVERS to the first 2,000 guests to enter the park. The ZOOperstars will be stirring up fun throughout the game before another awesome fireworks show shoots fans back in time with a medley of classic rock tunes. Following the show, fans of all ages will be able to take a lap around the field in RUNNING THE BASES.

A new giveaway at the ballpark, the Cougars will be handing out 15th Anniversary ¾-length sleeve baseball shirts to the first 2,000 fans, courtesy of the team's presenting sponsor, Provena Mercy Medical Center. Making a perfect keepsake of a day at the ballpark, guests will be welcomed on to the field to get their t-shirts, or any memorabilia, signed by their favorite Cougars players and coaches in the pre-game autograph session. Immediately following the game, Skydivers will soar in, landing in centerfield and igniting the evening's FIREWORKS display, presented by PROVENA Mercy Medical Center. Capping off the evening, fans will be welcomed on to the field to cruise around the bases.

Father's Day begins with the Cougars second annual Father's Day Brunch taking place on the MidAmerica Bank Centerfield Deck. The perfect shade from the afternoon sun, Josh Beckett #19 Baseball Caps will be handed out at the gates to the first 2,000 guests, thanks to the CHICAGO TRIBUNE. In honor of all dads, one hour prior to game time, the Cougars will host "Play Catch with Dad" in the outfield grass. Participants are asked to bring their own gloves and baseballs. Fans can take a lap around the infield following the game to wrap up the weekend with RUNNING THE BASES.
