April 14, 2009 - South Atlantic League (SAL1)
Lexington Legends News Release

The Lexington Legends were held to just four hits by three Kannapolis pitchers Tuesday night, as the Intimidators handed the Legends their first defeat of the season, a 2-0 shutout at Applebee's Park.

Kannapolis scored in the top of the first when second baseman Drew Garcia doubled. Following a groundout, Jorge Castillo singled, scoring Garcia. Pitchers dominated from that point. Garcia hit a solo homer in the eighth to complete the scoring. Kannapolis starter Greg Infante (1-0) pitched the first six innings to get the win. Dan Remenowsky worked the seventh and eighth, allowing one hit and striking out four. Tyson Corley finished with a scoreless ninth, earning his first save.

Kyle Greenwalt (0-1) pitched well in defeat for Lexington, going the first five innings and allowing one run on four hits. Ebert Rosario's eighth inning double was the only extra-base hit for the Legends.

The two teams will meet again Wednesday morning in an Education Day game. Students representing many schools in Central and Eastern Kentucky will be in attendance. Game time is 10:05 a.m. at Applebee's Park.
