CHARLESTON, SC - The date for the Charleston RiverDogs and the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce's one-day "Fun Is Good" Seminar at the Charleston Marriott has been changed to July 31. It was previously set for April 17.

Entitled "When the Economy Tanks...You Don't Have To," the event features RiverDogs President Mike Veeck and a lineup of "all-stars" as keynote speakers.

The "Fun Is Good" one-day seminar is designed to show how to empower the workplace and help a business or organization achieve success. Participants will be reminded that laughter isn't only the best medicine, but can be the key ingredient in turning a floundering business into a profitable one or jump-start one that has stalled.

Those attending will be exposed to the value of customer service - the lifeblood of any business - as well as the importance of a positive attitude, especially during these turbulent economic times. Further, the seminar will focus on what companies should look for when hiring people and how employees can forge a "Fun Is Good" career path.

Veeck and his "all-star" lineup, in addition to orchestrated break-out forums, will address a cross-section of sales, marketing, promotion and operational issues. From customer service to building per-cap sales, staging the best promotions to corporate sales, the 2009 "Fun Is Good" Seminar offers fresh ideas, encourages creative problem solving and provides a venue to exchange ideas.

Cost for the seminar is $75 per person and may be purchased online at www.charlestonchamber.net.
