ABOUT LAST NIGHT: Domingo Leyba launched his second home run in as many days as the Indianapolis Indians broke their six-game losing skid with a 3-2 victory over the Nashville Sounds on Saturday night at Victory Field. With one out and Canaan Smith-Njigba on second base, Leyba sparked the scoring early with his fourth home run with Indianapolis. One inning later, Indy's July Player of the Month Miguel Andújar roped a two-out single to score Vinny Capra as the eventual game-winning run. Nashville plated its lone run against Luis Ortiz on a Patrick Dorrian solo homer in the top of the fourth inning, the Sounds first hit of the game. Ortiz exited after the fifth, surrendering just three hits with no walks and three strikeouts. The two teams were then held scoreless until the ninth inning when the Sounds attempted a comeback. With runners at the corners and two outs, Cam Devanney doubled off Travis MacGregor to cut the deficit to one run. Brian Navarreto stranded the winning run at second base with a pop up to first baseman Malcom Nuñez.
