HALL OF FAME COMPANY: LF TRAVIS BLANKENHORN launched his team-leading 20th home run of the season in the first, becoming the first Red Wing lefty to launch 20 homers in a season since Red Wings Hall of Famer Garrett Jones hit 23 in 2008...the Pennsylvania native went 2-for-3, adding a hit by pitch and two runs scored in the contest, extending his team-leading hitting streak to eight games (.452, 14-for-31 since 8/2)...20 homers is the most in a season for Blankenhorn in his professional career...
His solo shot traveled 461 feet, the furthest home run by a Red Wing this season, and second-furthest across the International League Saturday night (Johnathan Rodriguez, 464 ft.)...he has also accounted for the hardest hit home run by a Red Wing this season (112 MPH on 4/12 vs. BUF).
Blankenhorn has now scored a run in seven-straight games, the longest streak for a Wings hitter since Daniel Palka (5/20-27/2021).
JACKSON (SCORELESS) 5: RHP JACKSON RUTLEDGE worked five scoreless innings on the mound, allowing two hits while striking out and walking two...the start was Rutledge's third outing of five or more innings without allowing a run this season (2 with ROC, 1 with HBG)...
