Redbirds Drop Series Finale at Bulls, Return Home Tuesday Night

MEMPHIS, TN - The Memphis Redbirds concluded a six-game road trip with a 5-1 loss to the Durham Bulls at Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Sunday night.

The lone Memphis run of the series finale came on a shortstop Kramer Robertson base hit in the top of the fifth inning that saw left fielder Matt Koperniak score from second base. Robertson finished Sunday 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Robertson accounted for two of the five Redbirds hits.

Michael McGreevy (7-4) allowed three runs on seven hits in 5.0 innings of work. The right-handed pitcher struck out three batters and walked one. In three innings out of the bullpen, Dalton Roach struck out eight batters and allowed two runs on two hits.

The Redbirds (56-58) return to AutoZone Park on Tuesday, August 15 to begin a six-game homestand at 2:05p.m. CDT against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.
