March 17, 2014 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact announced on Monday that 24,000 tickets have already been sold for the home opener at Olympic Stadium this Saturday, March 22, at 4pm EDT, against Clint Dempsey and the Seattle Sounders FC.
"The home opener is always a special event for players and for supporters," said Executive Vice-President Richard Legendre. "The week approaching our first game is usually our best for sales and we are always counting on our 12th player to make our 2014 home debut a memorable one."
For the big event, BMO will give away 15,000 supporter towels in different sections of the stadium, as well as 10,000 magnetic calendars after the game.
Souvenir-Magazine for only $2
Fresh from the printing press, the Impact will offer its 2014 souvenir-magazine for the special price of just $2 at different points throughout the stadium!
Half price scarves
The Impact boutique will also have on site its 2014 collection for sale to the public, including the club's new primary jersey and training gear. A number of Impact scarves will be available for half price!
Soccer Celebration Zone
Supporters are invited to visit the soccer celebration zone inside the stadium, near section 120. Accessible before the game starts and at half-time, ballon structures, skill games, a makeup station for kids, animation and music will all be on the menu.
Returning this year, two players will be available at the Uniprix tent in the celebration zone for an autograph session of 20 minutes after the game.
Saputo Family Corner
Families are invited to purchase tickets in the Saputo Family Corner, located in sections 331 and 357, with animation and gifts on site.
Videotron Player of the Game
At the end of the second half, supporters are invited to vote for the Videotron Player of the Game via the club's latest version of its mobile app.
Arrive early
The organization invites supporters to arrive at Olympic Stadium early to avoid traffic around Olympic Park and overcrowding at the stadium's entrance. Doors open at 2pm EDT. Those using public transit and coming from the South Shore should note that the yellow line is closed on weekends, until May 25, 2014.
