Toronto FC News Release
Major League Soccer announced Monday that Toronto FC forward Jermain Defoe has been named MLS Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) for Week 2.
Defoe made his Toronto FC and MLS debut last Saturday in Seattle, scoring a pair of goals to lead Toronto FC to a 2-1 victory over the Sounders FC.
