2011 Eastern League Playoff Tickets on Sale Now

Richmond Flying Squirrels News Release
RICHMOND, VA - The Richmond Flying Squirrels, Double-A Affiliate of the 2010 World Series Champion San Francisco Giants, have announced that 2011 Eastern League playoff tickets are on sale now for all potential home games during the EL postseason. The top two teams in each division advance to the playoffs which features two rounds consisting of a best-of-five game series. The Flying Squirrels enter play on Wednesday 2 1/2 games behind the Harrisburg Senators for the Western Division lead and two games back of the Bowie Baysox for the wild card.
"I have been in this business for over 20 years and have been a part of only one championship season," said Flying Squirrels Vice President and COO Todd "Parney" Parnell. "Anytime you have a chance to go to the playoffs, it is special. There is so much excitement and energy at The Diamond on a regular basis that our staff and players are really excited about potentially experiencing a playoff atmosphere here."
The Flying Squirrels Playoff Package includes Diamond Club tickets for ALL potential home games at a special price of $8.00 per ticket, per game played. Fans will only be charged for games which are actually played. In the event that the Flying Squirrels do not qualify for the playoffs, fans will not be charged. The potential home games for the first round of the Eastern League playoffs are as follows:
If the Flying Squirrels Win the Western Division:
Game One - Wednesday, September 7th - Western Division Wild Card vs. Flying Squirrels
Game Two - Thursday, September 8th - Western Division Wild Card vs. Flying Squirrels
Game Five (if necessary) - Sunday, September 11th - Western Division Wild Card vs. Flying Squirrels
If the Flying Squirrels Win the Western Division Wild Card:
Game Three - Friday, September 9th - Western Division Regular Season Champion vs. Flying Squirrels
Game Four (if necessary) - Saturday, September 10th - Western Division Regular Season Champion vs. Flying Squirrels
Additionally, the Eastern League Championship Series is scheduled to start on Tuesday, September 13th. If the Flying Squirrels were to advance to the ELCS, the potential home games would be as follows:
Eastern League Championship Series:
Game Three - Thursday, September 15th - Eastern Division Champion vs. Flying Squirrels
Game Four (if necessary) - Friday, September 16th - Eastern Division Champion vs. Flying Squirrels
Game Five (if necessary) - Saturday, September 17th - Eastern Division Champion vs. Flying Squirrels
The Flying Squirrels Playoff Package is available for fans to purchase in person at the Flying Squirrels Ticket Office at The Diamond or by phone at (804) 359-FUNN (3866).
Individual game tickets for the 2011 Eastern League playoffs will go on sale at a later date and regular ticket prices will apply. Game times for potential Flying Squirrels home games during the 2011 EL postseason will also be announced at a later date.
The Flying Squirrels will return to The Diamond to open a six-game homestand beginning on Tuesday, August 16th. The first 2,500 fans ages 15 and up will receive a Nutzy Garden Gnome presented by Cellular Sales, Richmond Magazine, and 98.9 Liberty.
