TONIGHT: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Harrisburg Senators will meet in game two of a three-game series...The Senators rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning on three walks, a base hit, and a sacrifice fly to edge the Flying Squirrels 5-4 in the series opener on Tuesday night in front of 3,165 fans at Metro Bank Park.

PEN OUT OF INK': Left-hander Wilmin Rodriguez was charged with a blown save last night, the third charged to a Flying Squirrels' reliever in seven games this month...Richmond relievers are 1-for-4 in save opportunities in August after being charged with three blown saves (12-for-15) in the month of July...The Flying Squirrels bullpen is 0-3 this month with a 4.91 ERA (10ER/18.1 IP) and has allowed 20 hits over that span while striking out 12 batters and walking eight.
OFF DAY AFTER A DAY OFF: The Flying Squirrels fell to 2-6 this season following scheduled off days after last night's loss at Harrisburg...The club's only two wins following a scheduled off day came 4/25 against Trenton and 6/21 at Harrisburg...Richmond has only one more scheduled off day this season (8/15) and will conclude the season playing 22 games in 21 days including a doubleheader 8/23 at Altoona.
POCKETS PICKED: The Harrisburg Senators stole two bases against the Flying Squirrels last night in the opener of the three-game series at Metro Bank Park...Since 7/9, opposing baserunners are 38-for-42 (.905) over Richmond's last 31 games in stole base attempts...Over that span, the only baserunner to get thrown out by a catcher was New Hampshire's Adeiny Hechavarria by Johnny Monell 8/2...The other three runners thrown out on the bases where caught by pitchers...The Flying Squirrels rank 10th in the 12-team Eastern League with a stolen base against efficiency of .255 (39-for-153).
LOUISVILLE SLUGGER: Third baseman Chris Dominguez went 2-for-4 last night with a double, a home run, one RBI and two runs scored...The home run was the University of Louisville product's seventh in 51 games with the Flying Squirrels...All seven of his home runs have been hit to left field (5) or left-center (2)...Over his last four games he is 6-for-16 (.375) with two doubles, two home runs, four RBIs, four runs scored and five strikeouts...In his previous 22 contests, the 24-year-old was hitting just .148 (12-for-81) and had seen his average drop from .326 to .243.
HOME AND AWAY: The Flying Squirrels are 39-22 overall at home - the best home record in the league - and they are batting .261 in 60 games at The Diamond while averaging 4.52 runs per game at home (276R/61G)....Overall, the club is 23-31 on the road, and is batting .224 and averaging 3.59 runs per game (194R/54G) in 54 road contests.
PITCHING IN: The Flying Squirrels pitching staff leads the Eastern League with a 3.35 ERA through 115 games and has allowed a league-low 442 runs...Richmond's pitching staff has allowed two runs or less in 44 of its 115 games (38%)...Starting pitching has allowed three runs or less in 82 of the team's 115 games (71%) and the club is 55-27 in those contests.
