New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
Manchester, NH -The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Double-A Affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, welcomed the one-millionth fan in the team's history on Saturday, July 7 at Merchantsauto.com Stadium. The achievement comes on the 241st home opening in Fisher Cats' history.
Drew Farris of Andover, Massachusetts walked through the gates of Merchantsauto.com Stadium to become the 1,000,000th fan. Farris was part of the Andover Grey 10 year old Summer Team in the Fisher Cats' Baseball Buddies Program. Farris was honored on the field with his father, Len, during the pre-game ceremony and was presented a Fisher Cats prize package that includes two 2008 season tickets, an autographed team jersey, two tickets to the August 17 Rock 'N Roll Triple Play concert headlined by Counting Crows with LIVE and Collective Soul and free dinner at the ballpark.
"We have been blessed with tremendous support on the road to one million," said Fisher Cats President/General Manager Rick Brenner. "This milestone would not have been possible without our fans, the best in Minor League baseball."
