July 15, 2025 - YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO - The Youngstown Phantoms are pleased to announce the free-agent acquisition of defenseman Jayden Veney from the Chilliwack Chiefs of the British Columbia Hockey League. Veney, 19, is a 6-foot-7, 225-pound native of Rochester, Minnesota. He began his hockey career at Rochester John Marshall High School before moving on to junior hockey. July 14, 2025 - YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Youngstown Phantoms have announced the acquisition of Czech forward Matouš Jan Kucharčík. Kucharčík, 18, was born in Vipiteno, Italy, and moved to Prague, Czechia, at age 3. July 8, 2025 - YOUNGSTOWN, OH - The Youngstown Phantoms have acquired defenseman Jack Hamilton from the Tri-City Storm in exchange for a conditional eighth-round pick in the 2026 USHL Phase II Draft. Hamilton, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound left-shot blue-liner from Powell, Ohio, appeared in 37 games last season with Tri-City, registering one goal and one assist.
