Whitman Named Eastern League Pitcher of the Month

June 4, 2026 - RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond Flying Squirrels left-hander Joe Whitman has been named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Month for May, Minor League Baseball announced on Thursday. The Flying Squirrels have swept the first two Eastern League Pitcher of the Month awards this season. Darien Smith won the award for April.
