June 9, 2026 - WHEELING, WV- The Wheeling Nailers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, have announced their 2026 Protected List. Teams are allowed to protect as many players as they wish provided the players protected meet the guidelines as defined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association which state that teams shall retain the rights to each player that: 1. Florida Wins Eastern Conference Championship

May 30, 2026 - WHEELING, WV- The Wheeling Nailers saw the 2025-26 season come to an end on Saturday night, as the Florida Everblades won the Eastern Conference Championship with a 6-1 win at WesBanco Arena. Anthony Romano led the way for Florida with two goals. Both teams got on the scoreboard once during the first period. Florida's goal came right away at the 37-second mark. May 30, 2026 - The Eastern Conference Finals continue tonight at WesBanco Arena as the Nailers take on the Florida Everblades in Game 5.
