New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
MANCHESTER, N.H. - What began as a twinkle in the eye of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in April is now a reality: the hometown team is headed to the Eastern League Playoffs for the first time since 2011.
But the work isn't finished: New Hampshire returns home this Friday to play the final four regular season games of 2018, and the top seed in the Eastern Division has yet to be decided. New Hampshire and Trenton (Yankees Double-A affiliate) are currently tied in first place, and Trenton holds the head-to-head tiebreaker (8-7).
If the Fisher Cats hold off the Thunder and finish the season in first place, they'll host Game 3 of the first round on Friday, September 7, as well as Games 4 and 5 if necessary on Saturday and Sunday.
If Trenton wins the division, the Fisher Cats will host Game 1 on Wednesday, September 5 and Game 2 on Thursday, September 6.
This weekend, the Fisher Cats welcome the Hartford Yard Goats (Colorado Rockies) to Northeast Delta Dental Stadium to take part in the end-of-season festivities. New Hampshire is 16-2 against Hartford this season.
